New tools…

Ive been doing some coding in PERL whenever I have the chance, I like it. Im gonna stick to PHP & mySQL for my web dev, but I’ve been finding PERL quite fast for creating simple CLI applications to automate the testing that I do in work… anyway, the new tools are in the tools section.

New Functionality!

I’ve added some more functionality to the site now in the form of a gallery. Be expecting some sUp3r l33t pic’s coming to a browser near you!

Also, Im concidering taking on a project of a more, less security based, more fun/radio based topic in the form of a radio DXing or scanning shack with antennae and radios and scanners and a computer etc… it should be pretty sweet… if I decide to go ahead with it that is…

Safer Internet Practice

I have started a new project that will hopefully help educate casual or non-technical internet users about using safer practices online to help stop them from falling victim to identity theft, stolen or comprimised credit card numbers, virii, phishing and all things nasty on the internet. Its attack will be two fold, I hope to breed an online community of users of varying knowlege that can help each other out, but I will also be publishing articles and perhaps even giving live, in person presentations on the issues that can affect casual internet users such as spotting a phishing site, seeing if a payment or checkout section is actually secure, knowing the difference between HTTP and HTTPS and anything else I can think of.

If anyone is living in the Dublin area, or wouldnt mind traveling to the Dublin area for a while, and would like to give a hand if Im organising a presentation, please feel free to add a comment here. Also, if you have any ideas for additions or articles please dont hesitate to let me know. Im not going to release the domain name I have purchased just yet, but I am working on the website for it and I do intend to go live with it ASAP. As the site is not going to be technically orientated, I can take a bit of time out to try and make it look nice and pretty :P

Welcome

Welcome to the new, new look site for PhishBone.org,

During the following days and weeks we will be making a few additions to the site which may cause sporadic downtime, but it should never be for too long. One of the things we have been looking to add to the site is various online tools for password cracking and general security analysis as well as in house software and articles.

If you want to contribute to any of the collective projects or have an idea for a new addition to the site, of even a super l33t 0day that you need help with, feel free to post a comment or you can email any of the members here at <username>@phishbone.org
